Asus Eee Pc Battery Life
My 90% battery rate is already down to 40% on its first hour. I got the 10% rate on my 1.5 hours of use, and 10% until it slows down and hangs. That gave me 2.10 hours of use. I only get irritated most of the time when it kept on blinking (battery indicator) when I could still use it for more than 30 minutes. Few days after my battery got even more irritating. I have installed Microsoft Office in my SDHC Card. There are also times that I’m getting errors. I don’t know why. I have removed and re-installed it again. Pretty much it works fine now. I have installed Windows XP Home SP2 and Avast Anti-Virus to my 2GB Asus Eee Pc Surf. I have used 1.37 GB of my C: Drive and left me with 492 MB Available. How to optimize / Speed up Windows XP for Eee Pc and other laptops:
Change your Virtual Memory
1. Go to Control Panel then Click System. You can also access system by simply right clicking My Computer then hit properties.
2. Click Advance Tab then Performance Area then Settings.
3. Press the Change Button in the Virtual Memory. Tick Custom size then set initial size and maximum size to 100 MB. Press set for the settings to take effect then ok.
