Smart Bro using 2 Computers / Laptop

18 September 2008 506 views No Comment

I’ve been using Smart Bro for almost 3 months now. I am currently enrolled to Plan 999 with unlimited surfing feature. I have no regrets about subscribing except for the fact that my Internet connection slows down whenever I’m using mobile office for the laptop that I got from work. When the technician installed our Smart Bro, I was advised that the only way to use Smart Bro for 2 computers or 2 laptops is for me to buy a router. Since I am the type of person who thinks of alternate ways to accommodate what I want. I surfed the net and found some information about it. I was able to use 2 laptops both connected to the Internet using Smart Bro without the use of router.

I have 2 PCMIA LAN. Both LAN are connected to the same laptop. One PCMIA for the incoming connection that is directly connected to the laptop and the other LAN is the connection between two laptops. Right click on the Local Area Connection Properties, and then select “Allow Internet connection sharing”. The connection should work immediately after that.
